Chapter 1179 - 928: King of Yellow Sands

Elsa was still curious, how could such a small body drink so much water? But then, the Lizardman’s withered body began to plump up, its height gradually increased, and its muscles swelled up.

In the blink of an eye, the old Lizardman had transformed into a young Lizardman. Only then did Elsa remember that Lizardmen could enter an extreme state of suspended animation when resources were severely scarce, and recover quickly when conditions improved.

"Thank you, my savior," said the young Lizardman excitedly.

"Don’t mention it," Elsa replied.

Having said that, Elsa was about to leave when the Lizardman stopped her and asked, "Great savior, where are you headed?"

"I’m looking for a Prophet who lives in the Prophet City," Elsa said.

"Actually, I am also here to find the Prophet, but as you can see, this place has become a desert at some point. The Prophet City has disappeared without a trace. I have been wandering in this desert for three months, exhausting all my supplies before coming here, and finally had to choose the extreme form to survive," the Lizardman said.

"The Prophet City has disappeared?" Elsa was puzzled, as the people who lived by prophecy would never let their city vanish. In fact, under normal circumstances, as soon as you stepped out of the teleportation point, you would see the Prophet City at first glance.

But now, aside from yellow sand, there was nothing to be seen.

"Thank you for the heads-up. I’ll check it out," Elsa said.

The Lizardman shook his head; this was not the first person to come here looking for the Prophet City, nor was it the first time he had woken up, or the first time to offer a warning. Each time he awoke, he had never seen anyone return, and he considered himself lucky to have made it back here. But the Array was unable to be activated, leaving him clueless about how to leave.

Elsa left the Teleportation Array and looked around, sensing the surroundings, finding no traces of illusions or mental force influence.

Then, Elsa condensed a huge Light Spear in her hand and threw it straight up into the sky. It disappeared at the zenith without encountering any obstruction. Next, the Light Spear was plunged into the ground. With just a single Light Spear, Elsa felt something was off. The ground below should be all yellow sand, which shouldn’t offer such great resistance to the Light Spear, but it disintegrated without getting very far!

Elsa bent down to pick up a handful of yellow sand, infused energy into it, and to her surprise, found extremely fine Arrays within these grains of sand. Though these small Arrays were not particularly powerful, they operated rapidly to annihilate all invading energy when foreign energy attempted to penetrate below the surface.

Then, Elsa suddenly spread her massive wings, unleashing a terrifying energy that blew the surrounding yellow sand away! The Lizardman from within the Teleportation Array ran out, astonished by everything before him. He originally thought the young girl, despite being strong, would not be much stronger, but he was obviously mistaken.

The terrifying energy poured down like it cost nothing, shaking everything around.

Then, to everyone’s astonishment, as the yellow sand was driven to a certain extent, a vague black edge appeared on the distant horizon, writhing and seemingly growing constantly.

But it didn’t take long to see that it was not some writhing black edge but rather sand waves like ocean waves, and they were growing immensely!

"Be careful! The sand wave is coming!" the Lizardman shouted from afar. He dared not leave the building of the Teleportation Array because there were defensive Arrays within it, strong enough to protect him from the sandstorm’s fury, but clearly, Elsa was indifferent.

"So you don’t want to be found by anyone?" Elsa laughed, her wings beaming even more brilliantly. A few pure light feathers fluttered out and flew in all directions, then instantly transformed into more than a dozen hundred-meter-long Light Spears!

Those huge Light Spears floated in midair, emitting thunderous roars as tremendous energy repelled the surroundings.

As the surrounding sand tide approached, it grew to a hundred meters in no time.

Boom!

Like the sky falling and the earth splitting, the sand tide collided heavily against the Light Spears. The terrifying Resonance from the Spears instantly disintegrated the assault of the sand tide! Watching the sand tide fall apart, more waves were already surging from afar!

Wave after wave of vast sand tides kept pounding out, their impact upon the Light Spears causing their brilliance to gradually weaken. Yet Elsa found that the sand below seemed to have a stronger ability to absorb energy!

"You guys, you guys, why must you be so annoying? Can’t you come out honestly?" Elsa was exasperated.

With that, Elsa retracted all her Light Spears and then flew upward at high speed. As the light faded and the previously dispersed yellow sand began to refill the surroundings.

Instantly, Elsa was outside the planet. She had once obtained a terrifying power from the Ghost Spirits, and now was the moment to use it!

One black and one white Light Wing extended once again, this time stretching thousands of kilometers!

Then, Elsa clapped her wings violently, and a pure wave of energy blasted out.

If the sand below was just plain sand, this wave of energy would have no effect. But this sand was not mere sand; it was a material with energy!

---

A terrifying wave of energy exploded outwards, and the sand that once covered the ground dispersed radically as if blasted by an explosion. It felt like blowing a strong breath over a table full of sand; the metallic ground beneath the planet suddenly became visible!

Just when Elsa thought it was over, the undispersed sand began to wriggle and then transformed into a Giant tens of thousands of meters tall!

"If someone told me you were created by those Prophets, I would definitely not believe it," Elsa said with a smile.

"Who are you? Where do you come from?" Elsa continued, asking with her Mana.

"I am the King of Yellow Sands, I am commanded to guard this place. Invader, you must leave," the King of Yellow Sands replied.

"Whose orders do you follow?" Elsa asked again.

"That is none of your business, invader, you must leave," said the Lord of Yellow Sands.

"Clearly, if you can’t give me a suitable answer, I won’t just let this go!"

A threat? Such things were meaningless to Elsa, who, adhering to Long Yi’s combat habits, considered these blusters nothing but trash!

"In that case, prepare to die!"

Sands swept across, and a terrifying force of Mana brewed over the entire planet. The Lord of Yellow Sands summoned a dreadful sandstorm! The sandstorm defied gravity, hurtling directly towards Elsa. Elsa also mustered a horrifying power; she raised one hand high, and a burst of light ignited at the center of her palm, releasing a Light Spear of unprecedented length!

Boom!

The Light Spear was thrown, colliding with the sandstorm below, tearing it apart, while more swirling sands surged up desperately, trying to engulf Elsa. The powers of both sides clashed in space, creating a shockwave of energy. It was neither Mana nor Fighting Aura but radiated in the purest form of energy!

Meanwhile, the Lizardman hidden within the building gaped in shock. He had never imagined that his savior would be so powerful, surpassing all the Powerhouses he knew. With her alone, she was able to contend with this monster that swept across the entire planet!

The impact of energy kept coming from all around, but inside the building, it was safe. After all, it was constructed using Giant technology, and mere energy impacts weren’t enough to affect it. In fact, with the energy shocks, the long-inert Array started to recharge!

Could it be that it was now possible to leave this place?

The Lizardman was overjoyed.

The might of the Lord of Yellow Sands surprised Elsa. When she had first gained the power of the Ghost Spirits, she had accidentally shattered an Asteroid. Now, having fully merged with the Ghost Spirits’ power, she was much stronger than before, yet she was unable to handle the Lord of Yellow Sands. Elsa was very curious about where this so-called Lord of Yellow Sands came from and why it was entrenched here.

Clearly, having a long-range battle of energy with the Lord of Yellow Sands might never clarify anything. For such a large being, if it were a collective consciousness, it could not possibly have such a quick response. This meant the Giant must have a core somewhere. But with its vast size, where could the core be?

Elsa began moving at high speed around the outskirts of space, her hand continually casting Light Spears, black and white, separating the sand and trying to find areas of concentrated energy.

At the same time, with the Resonance of these Light Spears, Elsa could faintly discern some patterns in the energy flow within the Lord of Yellow Sands.

If it were a collective consciousness, there would be no patterns, and the energy would only concentrate in certain areas. But now Elsa was seeing a patterned flow of energy, which meant that by finding the source and the end, the core would be revealed!

Elsa’s speed was incredibly fast. The vast Lord of Yellow Sands could only rely on large-scale attacks to try and hit her by chance, but Elsa always managed to dodge the various powerful attacks.

As Elsa accelerated, she noticed an interesting phenomenon. The Lord of Yellow Sands always faced her with the image of the ten-thousand-meter-tall Giant, but to Elsa’s eyes, this Giant was nothing more than an illusion made of piled-up sand. Its real source of energy was constantly moving, tracking her movements and always remaining on the other side of the planet.

"Interesting, you think you can hide from me like this?" Elsa said with a chuckle.

The huge wings began to retract, enveloping Elsa entirely and forming a ball of light. But the energy brewing within that orb grew more astonishing!

The sandstorm, like a winding serpent, swept up from below and swallowed the orb whole. The grit collided with the orb, while tiny Arrays within tried to dissipate all the energy inside. However, the small orb shone ever brighter, its energy not diminishing but intensifying!

And then the sandstorm serpent was infused with even stronger power, immense energy trying to further crush the light orb. But suddenly, the orb vanished on the spot!

On the other side of the planet, the orb reappeared!

The orb slowly opened, and Elsa looked down from high above, a smile in her eyes. (To be continued.
