Chapter 1387 - 1131: It Gets Interesting

Every Nightmare Knight would carry two Spider Silk Missiles, firing them at close range to bind members of the Dragon Clan. In the case of Long Yi’s target, two missiles would be enough to bind a Black Dragon, which would be considered a success.

"This time we aim to clarify two issues," Long Yi said, "first, by what means are these dragons being controlled, and can that control be lifted; second, how exactly have these dragons lifted their curse, and if they were capable of breaking the curse before, why did they wait until now, and might they lift more curses in the future?"

Long Yi was the first to take action. A greedy serpent drilled through the giant head of the Dragon Clan member, circling inside without finding any sign of the Divine Worm.

Then Simu exerted his Divine Power to give that dragon head a thorough check, "As expected, these Dragon Clan members’ bodies have been forcibly transformed by Divine Power. In fact, their curses haven’t changed at all. The reason they could unleash such tremendous power is by burning their life force, with Divine Power acting as a catalyst."

"How much of their lifespan is left?" Long Yi asked.

"Less than a year," Simu said.

Compressing the Dragon Clan’s lifespan of over two thousand years to one year just for such a small amount of power? Long Yi’s eyebrows furrowed deeply.

Meanwhile, Little Zi had already begun to investigate the dragon head using a combination of psychic power with Divine Power. Soon after, the results were in, "The dragon’s own consciousness has completely disappeared. In its mental world, there’s only the consciousness merged with the Divine Worm. Moreover, many false memories were infused into their memories to enhance their hatred for the Giants. Now they zealously worship that counterfeit deity—um, with the same name as you; she’s also called Simu," said Little Zi.

Simu gave a faint smile and said, "That was originally my name. Since it chose my power, inheriting my name isn’t surprising."

"Based on my current understanding, unless we entirely erase its present consciousness and rebuild a new one, it’s unlikely we can restore its former consciousness," Little Zi stated.

The dragon head in the nutrient solution sported a mocking smile. It was unafraid of death; in fact, if possible it would have chosen to self-destruct long ago since all its sworn targets were present. Only, this Array had been drawing out its energy, leaving it no opportunity. But now, seeing Long Yi and the others at a loss, its heart was filled with joy.

Then, Long Er stepped forward.

For some reason, it was filled with dread toward Long Er, a fear that seemed instinctual, although it didn’t understand why.

Approaching the cultivation tank, Long Er said, "To directly intervene with lower world life, I need direct authorization from a Creator God."

Long Yi couldn’t help but scratch his head. You expect the Creator God to authorize you? Am I supposed to go to the Heavenly Kingdom to find that person who shares the same name as me?

Then Long Er spoke again, "However, because I temporarily cannot connect to my database, I’m unable to access detailed data about my Creator God. Hence, I can only react to my Creator God’s name."

Long Yi wasn’t a fool. With Long Er stating things to such an extent, if he still couldn’t understand, that would indeed be really stupid.

"I, Long Yi, authorize you to directly intervene with lower world life in the capacity of your Creator God," Long Yi said.

"Long Yi’s name confirmed as ’true,’ unable to search database, temporary authority granted," Long Er stated.

Then, two beams of light shot out from Long Er’s mask, directly into the eyes of the Giant Dragon.

"Accessing life’s genetic data. Bypassing Creator God’s permissions. Accessing foundational data," Long Er detailed.

"Creator God’s permissions?" Long Yi looked at Simu.

"Theoretically, life created by a Creator God can only be modified from the base level by that same Creator God. Such foundational modification means changing all the life’s initial attributes, such as its intelligence level, its methodology of controlling energy, and so forth. However, it seems the Giants have found a way to circumvent these permissions," explained Simu.

"Genetic material," Long Yi understood.

"Yes, but if one obtains the life’s base-level permissions, then they can control the very essence of a life through this much simpler method," Simu explained.

"Can you do that now?" Long Yi inquired.

"Even with all my power, this ability is actually realized through Divine Decrees," Simu said.

Long Yi glanced at Long Er, surprised that Divine Decrees played such a significant role in the activities of deities!

"Full authority acquired. Detected foundational modification, shall I proceed with correction?" Long Er asked Long Yi.
