Chapter 1420 - 1142: The Forgotten Ones

Long Yi gathered all his attention and commanded Long Er and Gluttonous Snake to get ready, then he suddenly pulled open the great door.

Beyond the door, a tall figure seated on a massive chair slowly opened his eyes.

"It’s been a while, Long Yi."

"It’s you!" Long Yi was stunned.

Originally, on the Crystal Demon Plane, all the Crazy Demons served one Overlord. And that Overlord was actually a Giant infected by the Crystal Poison. The only purpose of that Giant was to suppress an enemy known as the Observer. Later on, Long Yi joined forces with the Overlord to defeat the Observer, only to find out that the powerful Observer was merely equipped with advanced technology, while they themselves were just a weak White-skinned life form. After overcoming the Observer, Long Yi had used parts from the Observer to save the collapsing Overlord, who then used the power of the Observer’s equipment to return to the plane where the Observer had come from. After that, there were no more messages from him.

Now, he had appeared again.

At this moment, he was sitting there, hand covering his chest, with a huge hole in his waist, wearing a very special Alloy Armor. His head, however, was exposed, and one could see that his head was still made of crystal, but it appeared very dim in color.

"How come you are here, Overlord?" Long Yi asked.

"Overlord? Hahaha, you still remember that name, it’s somewhat embarrassing. We are both Giants, you may call me Kasha, that’s my name," Kasha said weakly.

"Alright, Kasha. I remember you weren’t you headed to the White-skinned’s world? Did you make it there? What’s happening now?" Long Yi inquired.

"Yes, leveraging that suit of equipment, I made it to the plane where the White-skinned resided. But it was only after arriving there that I realized, things were much more complicated than I had imagined," Kasha said with a wry smile.

"These White-skinned weren’t just some minority tribe, they were numerous. Although frail on their own, they managed to develop a type of energy alloy made with Crystal Poison and metal. This energy alloy was extremely strong, and me, now a Crazy Demon without any technological gear, was easily captured by them upon arrival. But fortunately, there was disunity even among their own."

"You might not believe it, but these White-skinned were originally created by the Creator God as test subjects to gauge the potency of the Crystal Poison. However, just as they were left on a planet to die, among them a Prophet was born! That Prophet possessed astonishing knowledge, leading his people to resist the fate of being eroded by the Crystal Poison, and started to utilize the Crystal Poison to serve them, transforming from a feeble life form into the powerful race they are now."

"As time went on, this race became stronger and stronger, and although Prophets died and were reborn continually, once they invented the energy alloy, they then had the ability to invade other planets and even other planes."

"They began to call themselves the Forgotten Ones, meaning the race forgotten by the gods. They first sent out many ’Sowers’ to spread the Crystal Poison to different planets and planes, and then, after some time, ’Observers’ would be dispatched to check the status of the Crystal Poison infection. Once the Crystal Poison had destroyed the entire planet, ’Harvesters’ would be sent to gather all the crystals and the Crystal Poison back. The Crystal Demons were lucky at that time; I was there to prevent the Observer from returning, so the Crystal Demons avoided the catastrophe."

"However, not long after, a split occurred within the Forgotten Ones tribe, with some believing that invading other races and planes was improper. With their knowledge, they could peacefully coexist with other races in the universe. Meanwhile, they also believed that the presence of the Prophet was no longer necessary for the Forgotten Ones, and they rebelled against the Prophet’s rule. Those who were led by the Prophet thought that since the gods had been unjust in creating them, now that they had found a way to survive, even the gods could not object!"

"Thus, the two sides began a long war, a war that continues even to this day without end. However, the Prophet’s side was clearly losing and they were forced onto a ship, even restricted from leaving their own small plane."

"So, what’s going on with you?" Long Yi looked at Kasha’s appearance, feeling that there was more to the story.

"That’s exactly what I wanted to talk about," Kasha appeared even weaker.

"I had always thought that the victorious tribe were peace-loving people, so I approached them, hoping to help them with my Giant knowledge. But I was soon imprisoned. It was then I learned they weren’t truly peace-loving. They simply wanted to overthrow the Prophet’s rule! They have now appointed a new Emperor, and this Emperor is currently devising new invasion plans! However, because it is not like the old times, many races have developed some defense against the Crystal Poison, so they are trying to use my Giant knowledge to enhance the Crystal Poison, make it more invasive. Obviously, I could not agree. So, well, they tried some methods on me, but unfortunately, who do they think I am? A Giant! As if they could control me that easily. Where would I put my face if that happened? So, I just had to employ some of my own methods."
