Chapter 234 - 164 The Four Heavenly Kings_2
What the hell! Is Long Yi just here to show off? Is the woman cloaked in gold who follows him around someone he’s found and squeezed into a gold bodysuit? Is this damned dragon here just to piss us all off?
A senseless resentment began to loom over the training ground. The tension between the two factions steadily increased, their punches landing more heavily than before.
"Stop!"
Suddenly, the instructor bellowed and everyone halted. Then, he abruptly pointed at Long Yi: "Target, Long Yi! Pack tactics! Go for it! Whoever manages to bring down Long Yi, gets three days off!"
Suddenly, greed glowing in everyone’s eyes.
"Brother Long!" Mina glanced anxiously at Long Yi, then at the instructor far off. Her face pouted in discontent.
"Heh heh, bring it on, slackers. Let the one who managed to leap into the third grade show you what real power is!" Long Yi, his fists itching to fight, stood up. Bajie and Xiaoyou, the two dragons, bared their teeth and assumed battle positions.
Little Zi took a step forward but seeing the numbers of the opposing faction, shook his head and stepped back again.
"Never mind, this already counts as bullying."
The golem remained still from beginning to end.
Some people believe that quantitative changes can lead to qualitative ones.
However, that requires a significant quantity.
Otherwise, it results in situations like the current one.
It’s a brutal unilateral crushing. The numerical superiority could not bridge the vital gap between their strength and Long Yi’s. Even if they were all added together, the disparity was astonishingly vast.
Though Bajie wasn’t flexible as a medium-sized firepower platform, one by one, it spewed rolling smoky Dragon’s Breath. No dragon dared to touch it. After all, this Dragon’s Breath was that of a Demon Abyss dragon—far surpassing the power of any dragon in this world. As for Xiaoyou being a Shadow Dragon, its speed and raw power were its advantages, it didn’t need to use Dragon’s Breath and moved among the dragons as if it were in an uninhabited land.
Dragon fights dragon, human fights human.
There’s no way to win.
It’s simply impossible to win.
In the blink of an eye, the whole scene had turned into a bloodbath.
"Who’s next?"
Long Yi cried out, hoping to give a hearty roar. As a result, several dragon roars rang from above, and immediately afterward, four people jumped from the sky.
"Long Yi, hiding for so long, you finally showed up," said the person leading the group.
"Wow, how ugly!" Mina suddenly blurted. She immediately realized her lack of manners and covered her mouth, her face flushing red.
"Who are you? What have I been hiding?" Long Yi asked confusedly. The memory of these four was almost startling. If he had seen them before, he definitely wouldn’t have forgotten.
"Hmph, we, the Four Great Kings, issued a duel invitation to you, and you, kid, haven’t showed up for the entire week. And you claim to not be hiding?" Another one retorted. His appearance and voice were identical to the first, as if they were molded from the same mold.
"Four Great Kings? The Golden Four Brothers? Duel invitation? Where is it?"
Long Yi was even more puzzled.
"Still pretending to be dumb! Your stupid dragon has already accepted it! Dare to say you don’t know?" Another, with the same appearance and voice, yelled from behind.
"Bajie?" Long Yi turned back to inquire.
"Huh?" Bajie was just as bewildered. It scratched its head with one claw before it suddenly remembered. It pulled out a beautifully patterned copper tube, still sealed, from its own space.
Bajie handed it over to Long Yi who caught it and shook it gently hearing the sound of paper inside.
"This?" Long Yi asked.
"Correct!" The leader confirmed, now realizing that Long Yi had genuinely not seen it.
"Hmph, that stupid dragon is an absolute idiot, it’s not even given out the duel letter to its knight till now." One of them commented.
"A dragon reflects its rider, it seems Long Yi isn’t very sharp." One of them said.
When Bajie heard them say this, its eyes rolled up and its tongue stuck out, pretending to be foolish. This made Mina laugh heartily.
However, while the honest Long Yi was good-natured, he didn’t have as forgiving a heart as Bajie. Bajie was a dragon from a higher plane and so it did not take humans seriously.
But Long Yi was different – he was human, and a human with a strong violent tendency at that.
Creak, creak-
Without opening the copper tube, Long Yi crushed it into a ball.
"Come on, I can’t be bothered to read whatever you’ve written here. In the end, isn’t this just about fighting? Perfect, as I’m already warmed up and my fists are itching!"
Any challenge that came knocking was never feared by Long Yi.
The others around Long Yi started to retreat. One person walked up to him and whispered, "Be careful, Brother Long. They’re the so-called Four Great Kings of the fourth grade, born as quadruplets with natural telepathic connectivity. Alone, each person’s strength is nothing, but when they join hands, even the fifth graders don’t dare to confront them."
The speaker’s half face was swollen red, most likely a result of Long Yi’s punches. In Dragon Knight Academy, power is the most effective solution to all problems. On the first day itself, when Long Yi had jumped into the third grade, everyone had acknowledged his strength. This time, they were just reconfirming it.
Long Yi nodded, whispering a thank you. The speaker’s eyes lit up and he turned around and left.
