Chapter 465 - 355 Revenge! _2

How could the warriors ordinarily found in the laboratory ever be a match for these crazy monsters?

But just then, a giant stirred.

A terrifying roar echoed throughout the underground!

"I! Yake Black, have returned with unparalleled power!"

A monster charged directly at Yake, but Yake didn’t even turn around. Before the monster could even get close to him, it was already diced into pieces by the chilling Fighting Aura!

"Ah! Power! This is power! True power!"

Boom!

The unprecedented eruption of Fighting Aura shattered all the monsters charging at him. The excess Fighting Aura shot up into the sky, creating a huge hole in the ground! Cold rain fell from the hole, but it seemed as if a shadow flew out from the hole.

"Your Majesty, the assassin has escaped," Tilian said.

"That’s okay. Let him run. If not for him, I don’t know how much longer I would have pretended to sleep! Today! I am happy! Ah hahahahaha!"

From the very moment she started lurking, Suolin had realized that this reborn Yake was likely to possess terrifying power. But she had not expected his power to be so formidable!

This was precisely why she eradicated the idea of further eliminating Yake. She at this moment was not a match for Yake.

Her objective had already been reached.

It was time to go home.

Yes, heading home.

When Suolin returned, she did not immediately seek out Long Yi. Instead, she traveled to the Green Dragon Empire and snuck into the Imperial Palace. Though it had been a long time since she left, the layout within the palace remained almost unchanged.

Her grandfather, now the emperor of the Green Dragon Empire, Jim Green, was standing behind his desk with his hands behind his back, studying the map on the wall and heaving sighs.

The Black Dragon Empire was showing signs of unrest, if war broke out, the Green Dragon Empire would inevitably become a pawn. The last time the White Dragon Empire attacked, a great sum had been paid in war reparations. If war happened again, it could well be a war to redraw the world map.

What can be done about this?

As he was wrestling with his headache, light footsteps sounded from behind. He quickly turned around, only to see a strange girl standing there, her body pitch black and reflecting the lamplight of the study, her face completely concealed. Yet, for some reason, old Jim felt that this girl seemed very familiar.

"Are you an assassin? A child?" Jim sighed, turning around to sit in his chair.

"No, I’m not," Suolin answered.

"You’re just passing by?" Jim asked.

"No." Suolin said.

"Then just who are you?" Jim was curious now, for he could sense no killing intent from this strange girl. He even thought she seemed a little nervous.

"If I said that I am your granddaughter, Suolin, would you believe me?" Suolin asked softly.

Jim laughed: "Child, you are quite interesting. If you say you’re Suolin, why don’t you let me see your face?"

But Suolin shook her head, pulling out her own body from her personal space.

"I believe... I may never be able to do that again."

In just a minute, Suolin had proven her identity, revealing some small secrets that only she and her grandfather knew about. But Jim didn’t cry, he just quietly listened to Suolin recount everything she’d been through since she left him, all up to the present, including her killing of Kaniel.

After all of this, Suolin and Jim fell silent together. Suolin knew that all of this was too sudden, too difficult to accept. Anyone would find it tough to accept that their beloved granddaughter had turned into this in such a short time.

But, Jim was not ordinary people.

He was the emperor of the Green Dragon Empire.

"Let me... bury her first," Jim sighed, saying.

Suolin nodded. She settled her small body under the cedar tree where she used to play when she was a child. There would be no gravestone here, nor any mark. Suolin was gone, any extra actions would only endanger her and the grandfather she loved most.

When the earth was leveled again, Jim collapsed to the ground and Suolin quickly helped him up.

Jim tremblingly extended his hand and gently caressed Suolin’s cheek, enthusiastically saying,

"The granddaughter I once had has been buried by me, and now I only have you by my side. I don’t care what you’ve become, I don’t care if your hands are bloody. I care even less if you’re human or a dragon! I only know that you are my granddaughter, you are Suolin Green, you are the only legitimate Empress of the Green Dragon Empire!"

"Grandfather——"

"No, don’t talk, just listen to me!" Jim shouted in a low voice.

"Suolin, heed my words, leave this place immediately and go to Long Yi. If there’s anyone in this world who can stand up against the Black Dragon Empire, it’s Long Yi! Stay by his side, help him as much as you can, only by defeating the Black Dragon Empire can this nightmare end!"

"Yes, grandfather!" Suolin confirmed steadfastly.

"Go, remember! You never came back!" Jim said.

"Grandfather..."

"Go! Don’t look back!"

Turning around, Suolin quickly walked away.

Jim, however, sat on the ground, stroking the soil gently but looking in the direction Suolin had left, tears running down his wrinkles! But on his face, there was a small smile!

Suolin, my granddaughter, you have finally returned home!

The Emperor of the Black Dragon Empire, Kaniel Black was assassinated and his head was burnt to ashes! And no one knew who the killer was!

This news set off a bombshell, spreading quickly across the world. The speed of news always outstrips human legs, by the time Suolin stood in front of Long Yi, almost everyone in the White Dragon Empire had heard the news.

"You did it!" Ai Lin excitedly clasped Suolin’s hands.

"Yes, I have. I personally beheaded him, watching him struggle and unable to die, watching him begging me over the flames. But still, I burned him to ashes." Suolin spoke. Years of life had made her words steady, yet anyone could hear her joy at that moment.

"I knew it, I knew you would succeed!" Long Yi leaned in.

"Yes, thanks to you, Brother Long, otherwise it wouldn’t have gone so smoothly." Suolin said. On the side, Little Zi and Ai Lin exchanged glances because they noticed Suolin had also started to call Long Yi, Brother Long, just like them. However, Long Yi, who was used to being called Brother Long, didn’t notice.

"Haha, I did help a little, but definitely it was your own strength." Long Yi ruffled his hair, that gesture was more than just ’a little help’.

Suolin nodded, then turned to Ai Lin: "Ai Lin, my..."

"Here it is!"

As soon as Suolin began speaking, Ai Lin immediately knew what she was asking for. She took out a wooden box from her private space, opened it, and then took the mask from the velvet cloth and handed it to Suolin.

Accepting it, Suolin looked at the mask, silent for a long while before she finally spoke.

"Actually, I don’t really need this now. But it’s the first gift I ever received, and I will always keep it with me."

The light mask adhered to Suolin’s face and then stretched out to cover her head, like a white helmet. But it did not form any features.

"This is what I look like now. It’s a special kind of beauty, don’t you think?"

Hearing the laughter within Suolin’s words, Long Yi also smiled knowingly.

Obviously, Suolin had untied her knots. Although he didn’t know what happened, it was good news after all.

"Actually, I have one more thing to tell you." Suolin said.

"What’s the matter?" Long Yi asked.

"Your old opponent, that Black Dragon Emperor who you cut into six pieces, Yake Black, he’s revived." (To be continued.
