Chapter 496 - 385
At this moment, the responsible child was navigating through the vast underground network of the Black Dragon Empire.
"The Black Dragon Empire’s terrain is low-lying, so the drainage system is highly developed, so developed that even the Black Dragon Empire itself doesn’t know how many branches there are. Many places have been occupied by vagrants and become their homes." Suolin led the way, followed by Long Yi and Ai Lin Little Zi, and the Dandi sisters, transformed into blood ravens, flew back and forth providing surveillance.
After an hour, they finally arrived at the end of a dried-up road. It appeared that construction had been halted for some reason before it could be completed.
"The target provided by the Dandi sisters is below here," Suolin said.
An avatar of the female demon Little Zi immediately flew down, and soon, Little Zi had a smile on her face.
"Found it. It’s directly below here. The Yakshas are in hibernation," Little Zi said.
The two blood ravens also flew in, transforming back into the Dandi sisters.
"I can sense the presence of the Yakshas," Dandi 233 said.
"Okay, then let’s start digging!"
The soil here wasn’t particularly hard, but because they couldn’t indiscriminately use large-scale Fighting Aura and Magic, they had to dig manually.
Fortunately, everyone here was exceptional. Long Yi was the first to step up, infusing his sword with Fighting Aura, causing a meter-long blade light to surge at the tip. With a turn and a dig, he cut out roughly a cubic meter of soil, which was then lifted out by Little Zi and Ai Lin using their Mana. When Long Yi was tired, Ai Lin took over. Despite being able to freely wield magic now, she still used her abilities as a Magic Fighter. She punched the ground, infusing the underground rock and soil layers with Mana, shattering them into pieces, and then lifted them using Magic.
With everyone taking turns, they made quick progress.
Finally, Long Yi’s sword tip hit a hard, regular rock. Carefully cutting the rock open, he jumped into the space below.
This area had almost no air, it was stifling and humid, and large patches of hibernating Yakshas lay neatly on the ground in front of them. A rough count revealed over a hundred!
"What do we do next?" Long Yi asked.
"Next, the two of us will awaken a Yaksha. We will control her to prevent her from attacking, and then Brother Long will purify the hellish mud on her!" The Dandi sisters said excitedly.
"Alright, let’s do this!"
A large Yaksha was awakened. It looked around in confusion, but when it saw the Dandi sisters, it instinctively felt a kinship. The nature of Yakshas is similar to that of blood ravens, and absent directives from Rongka, they are not typically aggressive.
Thus, Long Yi began his purification process successfully.
Overnight, Long Yi successfully purified twenty Yakshas. Predictably, after their final evolution, all twenty Yakshas transformed into Dandi.
Long Yi was unsure about anyone else, but he himself could no longer tell them apart.
Apparently, the blood ravens have an astounding ability to share information. Once the newly awakened Dandis regained their senses, they quickly understood what had happened. Consequently, a group of enticing girls all crowded around Long Yi, chattering and expressing their gratitude towards him and their admiration for the Giant. Ai Lin watched the girls, their bodies encased in thin, red membranes, rubbing against Long Yi, and smiled intriguingly.
Dandi 233 nodded approvingly, true to the sisters who were copied at the same time, they immediately knew who they could count on in this world!
During the day, Long Yi ran the supermarket in the Black Dragon Empire’s Imperial City, which had recently become a hot topic, and earned a substantial amount of gold coins. At night, he started the purification process. In less than five days, all the hibernating Yakshas had been fully awakened by Long Yi and completed their final evolution. They all fled the Imperial City under the cover of darkness, returning to the forest of the White Dragon Empire in the form of Blood Ravens to hide temporarily.
The night was Tilian’s favorite time because only when wandering in the dark world did he feel at peace. As the knowledge he absorbed continued to increase, Tilian felt his mind occasionally become disordered, although it was not frequent, the signs were there. Therefore, Tilian no longer absorbed knowledge blindly as before. However, his mind was already full of knowledge sufficient to handle any situation. The complex knowledge in his brain caused a heavy burden to his body, Tilian had to modify his body again, he replaced his heart with that of a dragon, to ensure it could provide more nutrients to his overloaded brain.
Now, because he had to manage national affairs in person, Tilian did not frequently visit the lab anymore. However, the important experiments he was involved in the lab had not stopped. Every few days, Tilian would tour the lab, inspecting every corner, and remembering every detail.
Everything seemed normal today.
Tilian began to check below. There were intricate underground structures beneath the lab, with many separate areas, each with different purposes, but most of them had been idle.
On the lowest level, the Yakshas and powerful Hell Warriors gifted by the Eternal Emperor Rongka of Tier 18 Hell to Yake were hibernating.
It should have been so.
But when Tilian opened the door to one area, he was taken aback because it was empty. Not a single soul was present. This room was the area where the Yakshas were stationed in hibernation. Since Yake didn’t trust Rongka, these Yakshas had not been put into use yet. Yake and Tilian had been considering how to use these Yakshas without giving Rongka an advantage.
But, the Yakshas were all gone?
Tilian inspected the room and suddenly heard a light sound below his foot. He paused, gently lifted his foot, and found a small piece of broken stone on the ground!
Tilian furrowed his brows, he picked up the piece of stone, the size of a bean, then looked up and saw that the rock above him seemed to have cracked a bit.
Did it get damp? If he remembered correctly, these rocks were extremely sturdy high-grade stones, and they shouldn’t have been like this?
Tilian shook his head and walked out.
At this moment, in the cavern above the rock, Long Yi rejoiced. This was the last blood raven they had just rescued!
Fortunately, they had the Giant’s scepter, which fully restored the rock. Otherwise, their operation would have definitely been exposed.
Meanwhile, Yake Black, Emperor of the Black Dragon Empire, was quietly contemplating in his reading room turned laboratory. He was considering how to torture Long Yi once he was defeated so as to bring himself pleasure. Even his imagination alone made him laugh out loud. Since he transformed into this form, to suppress the overwhelming power he had, he had to endure even more pain. The only thing that enabled him to persist through this infinite pain was his hatred for Long Yi.
As long as he could personally torture Long Yi to death, he could bear any pain!
Suddenly, there was a hurried knock on the door of the reading room, and Tilian quickly entered.
At that moment, Yake Black was dreaming of a severely wounded Long Yi desperately begging for mercy, while he continually revived Long Yi just to continue his torture. Tilian’s sudden intrusion interrupted Yake’s pleasing dream.
"You bastard!"
Boom!
Before Tilian could speak, the burst of Dragon Power hit him. The intense impact catapulted him right through the study room’s door.
Cough, cough, cough!
Tilian was coughing violently, a fountain of blood gushing from his lungs, but he managed to swallow it down. The impact had ruptured his lungs. Luckily, his self-healing abilities were impressive, and the bleeding stopped quickly.
"Get in here!"
Yake growled.
Tilian got up to discover one of his legs twisted out of shape. Ignoring his leg, he hobbled inside.
"You better have a matter worth interrupting my dream for." Tilian said.
"The Yakshas have disappeared!" Tilian said.
"Disappeared?"
"Yes, disappeared. There’s no sign of a battle, and the door’s enchantments haven’t been disturbed. They’ve just disappeared without a trace." Tilian said.
"How is this possible!" Yake’s half face furrowed.
"Long Yi disappeared from the Imperial City a while ago, could it be him?" Tilian said.
"Impossible! If Long Yi was here, do you think he would quietly kill those Yakshas? I bet the Imperial City would be in chaos!" Yake, knowing Long Yi’s character well, was the first to dismiss this assumption.
"Then, could they have been summoned back by Rongka?" Tilian asked.
"It seems like the only possibility." Yake said.
"Isn’t this exactly what we wanted? We never wanted the Yakshas anyway." Tilian said.
"Heh, not wanting them is one thing. But having the Yakshas, who were gifted to us, disappear is not acceptable. Go to the altar again and let Rongka send a new batch of Yakshas!"
"Is it necessary?" Tilian asked.
"If I say it is, then it is!"
Tilian lowered his head and didn’t say anything more.
Long Yi initially believed that acquiring over a hundred Blood Ravens from Yake had been his greatest achievement during his trip to the Black Dragon Empire. However, the very next night, Little Zi informed Long Yi that there were even more Yakshas in that area, and their number had soared above two hundred!
This! It’s business delivered to his doorstep!
The industrious Long Yi once again started his work, happily busy every day.
This time, Long Yi even started to explore the market during the day, and disappeared for two whole days. After two days, two hundred more Blood Ravens once again arrived at the White Dragon Empire!
"What! They’ve disappeared again?"
Yake could hardly believe his ears.
"Yes, just like last time, they vanished into thin air."
Tilian stated with a puzzled expression.
"You didn’t discover anything?"
Yake frowned at Tilian.
"Yes, I didn’t notice anything."
Tilian responded confidently in his usual tone. Yake knew Tilian had no reason to lie to him. Neither would he deliberately lose the Yakshas as it would provide no benefit to him. Even if he wanted to rebel, he wouldn’t want the Yakshas, who are relatively weak and have little offensive power.
"Could it be Rongka playing tricks on me?"
Yake mumbled to himself.
"Go ask Rongka for more!" Yake said.
"Going again so soon?"
"Go now!"
