Chapter 512 - 401 Ghost Dragon Fight
At this point.
Dragon Clan.
Burial Ground.
Depending on his intelligence and strength, Tyl has become the right-hand man of Raz, the leader of the western region of the Burial Ground. With Tyl’s addition, the formerly balanced four-sided burial ground started experiencing small changes. The north, bordering the west, was already partly swallowed by Raz, and the southern region was struggling. The expansion of the territory and the arrival of new Ghost Dragons pleased Raz immensely. However, what he cared about more was the revenge plan that Tyl had proposed.
Like Raz who also lost his Dragon Rider, Tyl was consumed with rage, but he was not as mad as Tyl. To avenge his Dragon Rider, Tyl willingly entered the Burial Ground. Indeed, if there were any place in this world the Dragon Clan couldn’t manage, it would probably be the Burial Ground. Tyl had always claimed that the secret to leaving this place lay within his body. Although Raz had some doubts, he never questioned directly. After all, he saw Tyl’s strength, a strength that allowed Raz to keep expanding his territory. Regardless of the final outcome, at least for now, Tyl was still very useful to him.
On the other hand, as an opponent of Raz, Senka was not having an easy time. The inexplicable augmentation in Raz’s strength had Senka on pins and needles. Back in the day, Tyl had proposed cooperating with Senka, but the cautious Senka didn’t agree instantly. Looking back now, it might have been one of his worst decisions ever. Tyl was cunning, a trait rare among the Dragon Clan. He could always come up with unexpected tactics, and it was because of this that Raz’s territory was slowly expanding. The north was being devoured and the south probably wouldn’t last much longer. At this rate, Raz’s power would soon vastly outstrip his own!
Bear in mind, this was the Burial Ground, the extension of territory meant more Ghost Dragons and Corpse Dragons joining, and here, they were everything!
Finally, tortured by this worry to the point of unbearable, Senka made a painful decision: he invited the leaders of the north and south to discuss how to deal with Raz.
The invitation was just what the southern Su’en and northern Bakara had been waiting for.
Senka felt utterly miserable holding this meeting with those he did not respect, but there was no help for it, Raz was the greatest enemy at the moment.
Three massive Ghost Dragons abreast in silence.
"Lord Senka, surely you didn’t invite us here just to watch you stew?" Su’en from the south said.
"Precisely, Lord Senka, since you’ve invited us, it must be to deal with Raz. Among us in the Burial Ground, only you can stand against Raz. But how should we proceed?" Bakara chimed in.
"How should we proceed?" Senka said coldly. "It’s only because of the help from that Ghost Dragon called Tyl, that Raz suddenly became so powerful. To deal with Raz, we must first deal with Tyl!"
"But Tyl hardly fights directly, and even when Raz does, Tyl only commands from the back. It’s Raz who gives all the Dragon Power to Tyl!" The northern Bakara stated. As one of Raz’s primary targets, Bakara was rich with experience.
"That’s because the intensity of the battles has never been high enough to draw him out! If we unite and put more pressure on them, Tyl will have no choice but to come out and fight," Senka said.
"But if we just send out regular Ghost Dragons, they’ll pretty much only serve as food for Raz. If we send out the high-level Ghost Dragons and Raz consumes them, we’ll end up being the ultimate losers."
Su’en said.
"If that’s the case, then go back. When you are out of territory, don’t come begging me for shelter!" Senka responded coldly.
"Hey, hey, Lord Senka, don’t be angry, we are just a bit scared by Raz!"
Su’en hastily explained.
"Right, right, Raz has been in the Burial Ground longer than any of us, he’s extremely powerful, and we don’t have much faith in dealing with him!"
Bakara quickly added his explanation.
"Even the strongest have their limits! We will deploy all our elites this time! Bypassing Raz’s attack, our focus is to force Tyl to battle. As soon as Tyl appears, we immediately converge and strike him down, consuming him, then retreat immediately. Without Tyl’s support, Raz is but a brute relying on sheer force! And the Burial Ground will return to its original tranquility."
Senka roared.
"Fine... Then, we’ll listen to you."
Su’en and Bakara looked at each other. Although fear flickered in their eyes, facing the threat of Raz was like having a sword hanging over their heads; it had to be removed.
Meanwhile, in the west, Raz found Tyl.
"Brother Tyl! As you predicted, Senka has reached out to Su’en and Bakara. I suspect they are discussing an alliance to attack me."
Raz, having a body much larger than the average Ghost Dragon leader’s, had to bend over to speak to Tyl, but he didn’t think anything of it. Because in his eyes, Tyl was certainly worthy of his respect.
"Excellent, let’s proceed according to our previous plan," Tyl grinned.
Soon, Senka, Su’en, and Bakara led three formidable armies to Raz, who stood his ground. It must be said, Raz was far too powerful; regular Ghost Dragons and Corpse Dragons were merely a joke before him!
However, powerful as Raz was, he was only one figure. All the high-level Ghost Dragons from the three factions came out to gang up on Raz, and at this moment, Raz finally shouted the words that everyone wanted to hear.
"Tyl! Are you not going to help me?"
Tyl roared, no longer commanding from a distance but rushing towards Raz. Senka was overjoyed!
"Kill Tyl!"
A loud roar. Su’en and Bakara, leading their elite Ghost Dragons, charged straight at Tyl, while Raz engaged Senka.
"Hahaha! Idiot! What’s the use of you stopping me? Tyl will be dead soon! Then I will see how long you can remain arrogant!" Senka laughed wildly.
Raz laughed instead: "Ha! Let’s see who dies first!"
Bakara, who was originally heading towards Tyl, suddenly began a fierce attack on Su’en’s Ghost Dragons, while Tyl, leading Raz’s elite Ghost Dragons, joined forces with Bakara to ambush Su’en!
Poor Su’en couldn’t figure out what was going on, and his entire team was swallowed up clean, including himself!
"Bakara! How dare you!" Senka roared at Bakara.
"Haha, Senka you fool, didn’t see this coming, did you! Lord Tyl had already foreseen your actions a long time ago, so he sought me out early to assist them in their attack. Tsk, tsk, Su’en may be stupid, but his strength is not weak at all. I’ve only absorbed half of his power, and I’m already almost full. Hahaha!"
Only then did Senka realise that all of this had been part of Tyl’s plan!
Damn him! That bastard!
"Retreat!"
Senka roared, and his eastern legion quickly fled.
"Go! Head South!" Tyl roared.
Raz let out a loud roar and flew out first!
Through a series of battles, the entire southern territory fell under Raz’s control. Raz found it hard to contain his laughter at his unprecedented growing power.
In fact, according to Raz’s usual practice, he would have liked to swallow Bakara’s power as well. But Tyl stopped him, telling him that even if he successfully swallowed Bakara, he would only force Bakara’s northern forces to join Senka. This would be of no benefit to him at all. It would be better to spare Bakara and have an extra combat power for the time being.
Raz wholeheartedly agreed with Tyl’s suggestion.
"This way, there’s only one major obstacle left in unifying the entire Burial Ground," Tyl said softly, looking East.
Meanwhile.
The Crystal Demon Star.
The Crystal Demons have established an unparalleled civilization on this planet, and their new way of life has endowed them with faster thinking speeds and more advanced technology. As they continued to explore and discover, the technology of the Crystal Demons advanced rapidly.
This technology, of course, includes weapons.
The Light Cannon prepared for Long Yi was still in production. To the Crystal Demons, making anything was very similar. They used the parent crystal to grow and split new individuals according to different programs. This process was completely automatic and needed no control. However, Belle came here to check every day—even though the battle had already exhausted her.
Since she got the Catalyst Crystal Stone, Belle bravely shouldered the burden, leading the courageous Crystal Demon warriors to counterattack the Crazy Demon planet. The Crystal Demon warriors’ strength was unprecedentedly powerful with the help of the Catalyst Crystal Stone, causing great disaster for the Crazy Demons. At this rate, the Crystal Demons would soon be able to reclaim their homeland.
Because of these achievements, Princess Belle, who had been just an ordinary child in everyone’s mind, began to gradually pour into the vision of all the Crystal Demons. Before this, almost everyone believed that the next Crystal Demon Emperor would undoubtedly be Belle’s brother, Huoling. The people didn’t like Huoling because he was entirely different from their kind-hearted Emperor—he practically behaved like a street urchin.
Meanness and selfishness were the words that people often used to describe Huoling. Everyone found it hard to imagine that a royal prince, who lacked nothing, could have such a disgusting character. But even so, he was still the legitimate heir to the throne.
That was until Belle appeared. People were pleasantly surprised to discover that the recently matured young princess was such a responsible individual!
While Huoling was harassing people on the streets, Belle was fighting fiercely with the Crazy Demons.
When Huoling was refusing to pay the due Demon Power for the goods he acquired from merchants, Belle was still fighting.
And when Huoling was hopelessly addicted to the thrill of Demon Power, Belle was still fighting.
Sometimes, beauty comes from contrast. And in contrast, Huoling was simply useless.
Before long, both the public and the court were growing louder in their demand for the Emperor to groom Belle as the future Empress.
Despite all the clamour, there was no way Huoling did not hear it. (To be continued. If you like this work, please come to qidian.com to vote and recommend it. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users please read at m.qidian.com.)
