We take copyright infringement seriously and will respond promptly to valid takedown notices submitted in accordance with the procedures outlined on this page.
Content on this platform — including translated novels and webtoon chapters — is either licensed, provided by registered authors, or contributed by users. Where content is contributed by users, it is provided for the purpose of enabling readers to discover and enjoy creative works, not for commercial exploitation or to replace the original source. We do not host full unauthorized reproductions where the original work is readily available for purchase in the relevant language and market.

How the Process Works
- Prepare a written notice with all required information listed below.
- Send the notice to our designated copyright agent via email.
- Receive acknowledgment — we review and acknowledge receipt within 5 business days.
- Removal — if the notice is valid, the infringing content is removed or access is disabled promptly.
Required Information in Your Notice
To be considered valid under the DMCA, your notice must include all of the following:
- Identity of the copyright owner. Your full legal name (or your company name), and confirmation that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work. A clear description of the work you claim has been infringed — including the original title, author, publisher, and (if available) a link to an authorized source.
- Identification of the infringing material. The exact URLs on NovToon where the infringing content appears. Please identify each specific page or chapter individually — general or search result links are not sufficient.
- Your contact information. A valid email address, mailing address, and phone number so we can contact you regarding your claim.
- Good faith statement. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or applicable law.
- Accuracy and authority statement. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner of the exclusive right allegedly being infringed.
- Signature. A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Counter-Notification
If you believe that material you posted on NovToon was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification to our copyright agent at the email address above.
Your counter-notification must include:
- Your name, address, and electronic or physical signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification.
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the relevant Federal District Court, or if outside the United States, to the jurisdiction of any judicial district in which NovToon may be found.
