Chapter 1347 - 1092: Unfriendly

"I’m guessing you can understand me," Elsa said. "However, considering your previous hostility, I believe you deserve a bit of punishment. Also, don’t bother trying to call for help with your psychic powers—this area is already locked down by my psychic barriers."

The gray Light Wing enveloped the creature from head to toe, and soon it trembled ever so slightly. In truth, the creature was struggling agonizingly, but because it was so weak, the signs of its struggles were barely noticeable.

After a moment, the Light Wing opened, revealing the creature’s head.

"Interested in communicating properly?" Elsa asked.

"Please, stop torturing me. I’ll tell you whatever you want to know," the one-eyed creature said laboriously. Despite the length of time it had suffered, its pain was unbearable.

"Then, let’s start with an introduction."

This creature was named Gulu. Indeed, its name was Gulu, which, in their own language, meant glory. Like all beings in this multiverse, they were created by the same god. The only difference was that they were created for a singular purpose—to serve as fodder for the Crystal Poison.

After creating the Crystal Poison, the god needed to test its potency, so this race was specifically created for experimentation. Because they were merely test subjects, their creation was not a meticulous process. They were frail and lacked effective means to utilize energy. Once placed on a planet, they could only wait to be devoured by the Crystal Poison.

Then, mysteriously, the god vanished from this universe. At that time, the Crystal Poison had nowhere near the virulent infective capacity it has now. A person infected by the Crystal Poison might struggle in agony for days before truly turning into a crystal—indeed, at that time, the infected didn’t become Crazy Demons, but simply turned into crystal.

Time passed, days and years went by. The people on that planet kept moving, evading the Crystal Poison, but the poison would not spare them, and in the end, there was nowhere left for them to go.

However, a highly intelligent individual suddenly appeared among their race. He proclaimed himself the Prophet and told them that they must not succumb to the Crystal Poison—they had to resist, claiming he had received revelations surpassing that of gods.

Afterwards, this man became the leader of their entire race, leading them to build inexplicable devices and machines. Finally, when only one ten-thousandth of their population remained, they successfully fended off the Crystal Poison invasion. Not only that, but they also mastered the metal technology to extract energy from crystals, and with this technology, their race began to develop by leaps and bounds. They hated and despised the god that had left them there. So, they began to crazily modify the Crystal Poison, significantly enhancing its spreadability and ensuring the infected would become Crazy Demons. These Crazy Demons attacked all living beings around them, thereby accelerating the spread of the Crystal Poison even further. Then they began to scatter this Crystal Poison across various planets; they wanted all life created by god to be devoured by the Crystal Poison—they sought revenge against the god.

But, during this period, something unexpected even to themselves occurred— they split into two factions. One faction advocated for harvesting Crystal Poison and crystals by cultivating non-sentient beings, rather than massacring entire Planes. The other faction, led by the descendants of the original Prophet, advocated for the complete annihilation of life on entire planets, leaving no survivors.

Thus, at some inexplicable moment, a war broke out between these two factions. The outcome was even more surprising: the Prophet’s descendants’ faction lost.

As a result, this faction was expelled from the planet and began to wander endlessly through the universe.

"It seems you are of the Prophet’s faction," Elsa said.

"Yes," Gulu admitted.

"Logically, being the Prophet’s faction, you possess more advanced weapons and knowledge. How did you lose?" Elsa couldn’t understand.

"The Giants helped them," Gulu said bitterly.

"Giants? They helped them? I remember Giants never engage in warfare," Elsa disbelieved.

"Giants didn’t know the details. At the time, they were secretly contacting the Giants, who provided them with some Crystal Poison catalysis technology. With this technology, they surpassed us in sheer strength, driving us out of the planet. Then, they vanished within the universe," Gulu explained.

"Obviously, I find it hard to sympathize with your plight, since in some ways, you consider us all as enemies," Elsa said with a smile.

Suddenly, the gray Light Wing tightened abruptly, and a beam of energy shot from Gulu’s eyes, only to be blocked by another Light Wing.

"Especially such unfriendly actions, they certainly lose you points in my book," Elsa said, lowering her Light Wing with a smile.

"Everything I told you is true; I thought you might lower your guard," Gulu said, looking very pained.

"How could I? Your unexpected sincerity alone is enough to make me more cautious," Elsa replied.

"Who exactly are you, and what do you intend to do!" Gulu finally couldn’t contain his question.

"Who I am is none of your concern, and what I’m going to do is also none of your concern. All you need to know is that if you obey my commands, that will suffice."

As she spoke, Elsa’s eyes emitted a brief but extremely bright glow, and the consciousness of a Ghost Spirit directly occupied Gulu’s mind. Back when Elsa had battled the Divine Worm, she had analyzed the abilities of the Divine Worm, and now she had replicated this power and used it on Gulu. Unlike the Divine Worm, which could only influence its host through the subconscious, Elsa had merged the consciousness of countless Ghost Spirits. Different from Little Zi’s mental control, Elsa simply needed to separate one of the Ghost Spirit consciousnesses she had merged, combine it with the abilities of the Divine Worm, and then forcefully inject it into Gulu’s consciousness. With the Divine Worm’s abilities, that Ghost Spirit consciousness could instantly replace Gulu’s original consciousness.

"How is the memory state?" Elsa asked Gulu.

"Everything he previously described is true, Master," Gulu said, although now there was someone else inside Gulu’s head.

"Is there anything else I should know?" Elsa continued.

"Yes, in fact, this person named Gulu knows you—he knows you are the Celestial Clan’s little princess, Elsa. He was the official who received the delegation led by the Celestial Clan’s Emperor," Gulu said.

"That’s just wonderful; no wonder he didn’t hesitate to attack the moment he saw me," Elsa surveyed her surroundings. There were no extra people in this secluded corner, but faint voices could be heard in the distance.

"He is currently waiting for someone. According to his own memories, this Gulu was planning to secretly overturn the Prophet’s faction and support a new Prophet coming to power. At this moment, there are two individuals claiming to be the Prophet fighting for control over this place—the struggle between the old Prophet and the new Prophet is extremely fierce, and both sides are nearly on the brink of war," Gulu said.

"So, the army my father obtained should be from the faction of the new Prophet, right?" Elsa asked.

"His army comes from the faction of the new Prophet... and I have discovered something strange," Gulu added.

"What is it?"

"Your father, the Emperor of the Celestial Clan, seems to be well-acquainted with the new Prophet, and from what it looks like, he is even acting with absolute respect."

"Show me his memories directly."

Elsa pressed her hand onto Gulu’s head, and his memories were immediately transmitted to her.

The Celestial Clan’s Emperor looked very haggard, with the First Prince Sajia following closely behind him, appearing very constrained. Opposite the Emperor sat the so-called Prophet.

At that moment, the Prophet sat on a luxurious throne, composed of a series of intricate mechanical structures and crystals, suspended in the air with runes of energy swirling around it.

However, when Elsa saw the Prophet’s eyes, she immediately laughed.

Without any surprise, they were eyes glowing with red light.

Divine Worms, it’s still you after all!

"Great Prophet, we have done as you ordered, but those treacherous Okaman people have torn up their contract with us and turned to support Elsa! Now Elsa holds the power of the Okaman as well as that of the New Spectral Ghosts, and with just my power alone, I absolutely cannot match her! I pray that you bestow upon me a greater power, Great Prophet!" the Emperor said, kneeling on the ground with utmost respect.

The Cyclops Clan member just like Gulu gave a slight smile and said, "I had already foreseen your failure, so this time I will provide you with help like never before, granting you a might you have never imagined, a power that truly far surpasses your wildest dreams!"

Needless to say, a warship followed the Celestial Clan’s Emperor back to the Heaven Realm, and it was filled with a thousand warriors.

"Well, now I only have one question, just what is the combat strength of these warriors," Elsa said to herself.

"And there is only one way to answer that question," Elsa answered herself again.

Only a battle would tell!

Considering Long Yi’s previous description, these frail Cyclops could empower themselves immensely through special machinery, so Elsa did not rashly choose to charge in headfirst. She now had an appropriate inside agent. Gulu was not of low status within his clan; when he appeared on the streets, everyone who saw him stopped to pay their respects, especially as he was a close person and a favored one to the old Prophet. His position and power were absolutely prominent.

However, Elsa found it somewhat amusing that the old Prophet had so much trust in Gulu, and so did the new Prophet, considering Gulu one of his confidantes. This meant that, no matter which Prophet became the future leader, Gulu would still maintain his position without the slightest shake, and might even be trusted more than before.

It must be said that this Gulu really was talented.

But now, this talent belongs to me. (To be continued. If you like this work, please come to Qidian (qidian.com) to vote for recommendation votes and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users please go to m.qidian.com to read.)
