Chapter 1348 - 1093: Secret Mission

The same memories, the same habits, Gulu now was no different from the Gulu of the past. So, when those who were to meet Gulu secretly arrived, they could not spot any flaws at all.

Those who were meeting with Gulu secretly were attendants by the side of the old restricted ones, who had already been bribed by the new Prophet with great benefits, asking them to make a choice at a critical moment. Now, Gulu’s purpose here was to inform them about the next step in their plan.

Elsa hid in the dark, chuckling silently. Clearly, this was a battle between two Divine Worms. Initially, Elsa had thought that the Divine Worms would cooperate in battle, but now it seemed she had overestimated them; their relationship was an almost undisguised competitive one, and it was the kind that wouldn’t cease until one party was dead.

After conveying the information, Gulu did not reveal any flaws, and the others left satisfied. Afterwards, Elsa had Gulu lead her to a place where she could actually make contact with the soldiers of the Cyclops Race.

Of course, it would be best if it were a place with no people.

After some thought, Gulu led Elsa all the way to a warehouse.

At that moment, there was a warrior standing guard in front of the warehouse door. Unlike Gulu, this warrior was seated inside a humanoid suit of armor, which was pitch black and slightly taller than the average person. It was embedded with scale-like armor plates, revealing crystals in specific places.

Gulu approached and gently coughed. However, the warrior gave no response, causing Gulu’s brow to furrow, and his eyes emitted energy that hit the suit of armor directly in the eyes, causing it to fall over.

"Who! Who is it!" A startled shout followed, as a groggy-eyed warrior rushed out from the corner of the wall.

It turned out that the warrior had not been doing his duty diligently and had run off to one side. Clearly, guarding this warehouse had to be the least demanding of assignments, otherwise how could it be possible for someone to leave his suit of armor unattended.

"It’s Lord Gulu!" The man recognized Gulu immediately and hurriedly saluted, his large eyes filled with panic.

"Soldier, do you realize this is a severe violation of regulations?" Gulu asked sternly.

"I’m very sorry, Lord Gulu!" The soldier grew even more nervous.

"Forget it, suit up in your armor. I have an extremely important secret mission for you! If you can complete this task well, I will overlook your past errors. However, if you fail, the tribunal will be your fate!" Gulu said.

The soldier dared not waste words, he scrambled to his armor, which lit up in the eyes, and then his frail body was immediately sucked into the suit. The large suit of armor then stood up from the ground with heavy footsteps, its body surging with energy.

Elsa had been standing behind Gulu all along, her face hidden under a hood, silent. Yet she was still taken aback by the feeling the suit of armor gave her; she could assert without hesitation that this suit of armor was more powerful than most warriors she had encountered. And this was just the feeling now; once they truly battled, their strength would likely be even greater.

"Open the warehouse." Gulu commanded.

The warrior immediately turned around, his palm emitting a strange pulsation, and the heavy metal doors of the warehouse swung open. The three of them walked inside, and the metal doors slowly closed behind them. Inside, the dark warehouse lit up, spacious, with neatly stacked black metal materials in the corners.

"Okay, soldier, your task now is to fight with this lord in front of you," Gulu said.

Elsa lifted her hood, and the warrior, taken aback, exclaimed, "Isn’t this Princess Elsa of the Celestial Clan?"

"You know her?" Gulu lowered his voice.

"When the Emperor from the Celestial Clan came here before, he had shown Prophet a projection of Elsa. I was one of the guards below at that time. Later, because I failed to carry out a task assigned by our captain, I was sent here to guard this warehouse..." the soldier said helplessly.

"That’s how it is. Actually, she isn’t Princess Elsa but an imagined enemy we created based on information about Princess Elsa, to simulate an opponent in order to obtain her data. As for you, you’re quite lucky to be part of this secret mission, for you will help me complete this test. If all goes smoothly, I think I will speak on your behalf and get you transferred out of here," Gulu said.

"Thank you very much! Sir Gulu! Rest assured! You can command me however you wish!" the soldier said excitedly.

"So, what kind of test are we going to conduct?" Gulu turned and asked Elsa.

"It’s simple. Just attack with full force," Elsa said.

This had once been a warehouse used for storing various materials, including some very dangerous substances, thus it was constructed extremely robustly. However, as those materials were depleted and a more conveniently located warehouse was put into use, this warehouse was mostly semi-dormant, sometimes going a month without a single person appearing. Guarding this warehouse wasn’t so much a task as it was a punishment. Those who had made mistakes, yet were not deserving of real punishment, were sent here to watch the warehouse. Indeed, there was no more torturous punishment than staying in a place where one seldom saw other people.

Yet now, this seemingly quiet warehouse was the scene of a startling battle.

Elsa and that warrior were clashing barehanded.

Fist against fist, a straightforward brutal exchange.

At first, the warrior was hesitant to unleash his full strength, thinking that if this imitation Elsa, no matter her origins, were to be killed by his hand, wouldn’t he be doomed to obscurity within this warehouse forever? However, after being repeatedly sent flying by her punches, he finally realized that this counterfeit Elsa was not as weak as he had imagined. Thus, he began to gradually unleash his power. As he did so, he increasingly felt the strength of this counterfeit Elsa. No matter how much he enhanced his strength, he was completely unable to inflict even the slightest injury on her.

"Is this pathetic amount of power all you’ve got?" Elsa asked with scorn in her face.

It must be said, this imitation Elsa really was a spitting image!

The warrior immediately became enraged, unleashing all his power at once, crystals embedded around him resonated, and Rune energy flowed around him.

Boom!

Their fists collided once more, and this time they were evenly matched! Neither Elsa nor the warrior retreated an inch!

"Somewhat interesting, but is that all?" Elsa said with a smile.

"Hmph!" The warrior’s fist emanated vibrating energy, and with a buzzing sound, Elsa was shockingly blasted away!

But in the next moment, Elsa suddenly disappeared, then reappeared behind the warrior, and without reducing her speed, her knee heavily struck the warrior’s back.

"A bit surprising, but still within an acceptable range. If you have any more tricks, it’s best to use them now, or you won’t have a chance to leave this warehouse alive," Elsa said.

Brazen words for a mere experiment!

The warrior flicked his hand, and a beam of energy from the crystal in his palm formed into a Light Sword.

Elsa also snapped off a piece of pure white Light Wing, transforming it into a Light Sword.

Clang!

The two Light Swords collided, this time a pure clash at the energy level, causing energy to collide and space to distort. Yet, both of them remained unmoving, standing their ground as they exchanged dozens of strikes, until both Light Swords simultaneously shattered.

"I have a question," Elsa suddenly spoke, seemingly without even the slightest hint of breathlessness.

"What question!" The opposing warrior growled irritably, seeing this as merely a test where he hadn’t yet exerted his full strength, while his opponent appeared so relaxed, completely disrespecting him.

"Tell me the truth, with your strength, on this planet, from the strongest at first to the weakest at tenth, where would you rank?" Elsa asked.

Why was she asking this? The warrior glanced suspiciously at the distant Gulu, who nodded slightly. It seemed this was part of the experiment, "Fifth or fourth perhaps, having once served as the guard to the Prophet, my strength is naturally not too shabby," he stated.

Elsa nodded slightly, then said, "So that means, your strength is mid-level. This implies that if I can’t easily defeat you, I might struggle when facing your strongest warrior."

Hearing Elsa speak so, the opposing warrior burst into laughter, "Hahaha, I don’t know where you come from, but let me tell you clearly, even facing me you might not win, and those powerhouses? Don’t even think about it."

Elsa slightly smiled and shook her head, "I know you haven’t given it your all. Don’t worry, even if you kill me, you won’t be held responsible. Because next, my goal will be to kill you. If you don’t use your lethal moves on me, the next moment might be your last."

Speaking thus, Elsa directly snapped off a gray Light Wing, full of the power of Ghost Spirits. Previously, Elsa had been fighting using her identity as a member of the Celestial Clan, similarly not going all out. Both had been an evenly matched contest. Now, Elsa decided to truly fight with all her strength, needing to accurately measure the strength of this warrior who claimed to be of mid-level strength.

"Lord Gulu, if I truly kill him, is there a problem?" the warrior asked Gulu.

"Not only is there no problem, but you might even receive a reward for it," Gulu said.

Hearing this, the warrior felt reassured.
