Chapter 178 - 134: What Kind of Ugly Outfit Is That? (2)

The skyscrapers rise and fall for miles and miles, as if they are draped in a layer of magnificent outerwear, each with different colors and designs.

Everywhere, there are dazzling mesmerizing displays. Beautiful singers, dressed in colorful attire and adorned with flowers, showcase their graceful figures. In a swift scene change, exaggeratedly styled handsome men and gorgeous women knock down hideous criminals to the ground with their singing.

Vehicles flow continuously in the air tracks, which extend towards the sky like branches, leading to another magnificent sky city.

Lin Lan felt a stir in his heart.

Could this be the Star Ring City he had just seen?

"No wonder that Nightingale was in such a rush to snatch people."

Eleanor stood beside the young man, the Pirate Leader clicked his tongue in amazement, his eyes glowing: "This Gray Realm sure looks like it has a lot of wealth to squeeze out!"

"This place somewhat resembles the Justice Archangel’s country."

Ansel immediately associated it with scenes in his memory. Staring at the colorful city, he murmured, "But it seems a bit more ’exaggerated’ than Angel Country."

Thud, thud, thud!

The next moment, the door behind them was pounded on forcefully.

Molly was startled, the girl’s tail puffed up instantly, and she hastily pulled Daisy to hide behind Lin Lan.

Immediately, the door was shoved open violently.

"Hey! What are you all doing dilly-dallying?"

Lin Lan turned around unhurriedly and found that the visitor was a tall young man.

He had a high nose bridge, sharp eyes, earrings covering his ears, long curly red hair, dressed in a dark red open ceremonial dress, revealing his muscular chest.

"Are you the new job applicants?"

The curly-haired man clung to the doorframe, rudely scanning the people in the room: "Who is the ’Justice Songstress’? Hurry up and step forward so I can take a look."

Ansel instinctively raised the Heavy Hammer, blocking in front of everyone.

"What do you plan to do with that metal chunk? Do you think being tall is so impressive?"

The curly-haired man wasn’t scared at all; instead, he let out a disdainful sneer, patting the long sword tied at his waist: "If you want to cause trouble here, I advise you to weigh the consequences carefully."

Eleanor quickly stepped forward, standing in front of Ansel.

"Sorry, sorry, they are all inexperienced country folks unfamiliar with city rules."

The dignified Black-winged Calamity Master nodded and bowed, smiling ingratiatingly: "Rest assured, I’ll keep them in line..."

"Hmph, stop wasting time, except for the big iron clothes that look somewhat interesting, everyone else is dressed like bumpkins."

The curly-haired man glanced at their outfits and pointed to the clothes rack in the room: "Quickly change into something decent and come out to meet me!"

He flamboyantly flicked his shoulder-length hair and slammed the door shut.

"Do you know that guy?"

Lin Lan looked at Eleanor with a peculiar expression in his eyes.

"Of course not."

Eleanor shrugged, patting Ansel’s hammer handle: "Put away the weapon for now, we won’t be needing it."

Ansel seemed a bit hesitant.

"I know you’re quite capable, but fighting won’t solve the problem."

She patiently explained: "Listen up; we’re essentially here to ’pioneer’ routes. This journey is chaotic and disordered in itself. Our real task is to find the ’correct’ rules among them."

"To put it bluntly, we’re here to gain benefits."

The Pirate Leader rolled his eyes, snorting: "If you kill everyone, our only outcome is to get bounced back to land by the sea; then what are we pioneering for?"

Ansel glanced at Lin Lan, who silently slung the iron hammer behind him under the latter’s approving gaze.

"Eleanor sister, do we really have to change clothes as that weirdo requested?"

Daisy wagged her tail, staring at the clothes rack around them.

"Don’t worry, I can tell that guy isn’t a Celestial Calamity believer. He’s just some chaos light shadow from the Deep Sea, so let’s just do as he says."

Eleanor seemed particularly pleased with the title ’sister.’ She grinned: "We can pick our outfits now."

Since the Power Armor managed to catch the curly-haired man’s ’fancy,’ Ansel was the first to leave the room, remaining alert for potential dangers.

Lin Lan looked dismissive; those colorful ceremonial dresses appeared abstract no matter how he looked at them.

Suddenly, he had a styling idea.

A moment later, they pushed open the door.

Outside the changing room was a spacious and bright hall. Ansel stood on guard at one side, while the curly-haired man leaned on the sofa by the floor-to-ceiling window, swirling the liquid in his cup.

He turned his head.

Eleanor had changed into a deep purple, slim-fitting, androgynous tuxedo. This Dragon Lady wore high-heeled boots with metal decorations, paired with her high ponytail and gallant demeanor, the Doragon People perfectly complemented the costume’s color, exuding a unique charm.

Molly and Daisy had changed into cute-style puff dresses, their Cat Girl faces flushed; they had never worn such strange fabrics before.

Yet the curly-haired man’s attention was entirely focused on the gray-haired boy.

He furrowed his brows, issuing a disapproving comment: "The others’ outfits are barely passable; what’s with that ugly mismatch of yours?"

The gray-haired youth wore purple pants, a loose-fitting, long, dark purple blazer draped over a green shirt and a patterned tie.

This guy even painted a strange smile on his mouth with lipstick.

"I... I’m a student, and I know nothing."

Lin Lan sat directly beside him, grinning broadly with a sunny smile, indicating that he had been quite honest since childhood.

"You look just like a... sigh..."

The curly-haired man sighed heavily, muttering his dissatisfaction: "I knew hiring cheap goods at a low price would lack taste."

Lin Lan didn’t mind the other’s disappointment. He exchanged a glance with Eleanor, rubbing his hands with a smile:

"Boss, do you need us to introduce ourselves?"

"I don’t need to remember the names of you nobodies."

The curly-haired man sipped his drink, his eyes high and mighty: "You only need to remember me."

"Listen up, crime in this city grows every moment."

He straightened up, one hand on his waist, swaggering, while the other hand flicked his hair: "And I, Roman, am the Justice Judge of this city!"

The hall fell silent.

Watching the other’s posture, the corner of Lin Lan’s mouth twitched, he forcibly swallowed the retort.

"Esteemed Judge, what should we do next?"

Lin Lan, with great effort, pushed the plot along. Since pioneering meant finding rules, he naturally took on the role of communication.

"Tsk, where on earth did you Singing Team run to Flower Celestial City from?

Roman’s tone gradually turned helpless: "I have to waste time explaining the work process to you?"

"Let me ask you."

The curly-haired Judge stared at Lin Lan: "What is your understanding of justice and heroism?"

"Punishing evil and promoting good?" Lin Lan rubbed his chin, staring at the prosperous cityscape outside the floor-to-ceiling window, the youth’s smile carried a hint of amusement.

"Wrong! It’s fame! Fame!"

Roman’s tone suddenly became irritable: "Without enough fame, who would know I’m the hero who represents justice?"

"I spent money to recruit your team into my Hero Agency precisely because I need you to design the perfect stage while I execute justice!"

Roman shifted his scrutinizing gaze to the two Feis girls: "I suppose you two are the Songstresses, right? If you made it to Flower Celestial City, it means you still have potential to sing about justice."

He frowned and asked: "Do you know how renowned singers assist heroes in executing justice?"

The two Cat Girls instinctively shook their heads.

Roman, with a cold face, proactively activated the hall’s screen lights.

Rousing and impassioned singing immediately filled their ears, as the heroes on the screen showered in petals from the sky, with the hideous criminals kneeling on the ground, pleading for mercy.

The enchanting Songstress clasped her hands together, and at the moment when the hero subdued the criminal, the music at the scene reached its climax.

Roman pointed forcefully at the screen: "See that? That’s a hero! That’s justice!"
